The purpose of our Wellness Services is to improve the overall health and wellbeing of our employees and residents in the communities we serve. We accomplish this through our various wellness programs, community events, and health screenings. Our services are designed to encourage, inspire and challenge individuals to live life to the fullest. From balancing your diet to managing your daily exercise routine, CaroMont’s Wellness team can help.

Customized Wellness Program
CaroMont Health Wellness staff will assess the health of community members and develop health initiatives aimed at promoting better individual health based on identified health risks. Examples of these initiatives are a 6 to 8 week wellness program with health screen pre and post program.

Weight Loss & Nutrition Counseling
Eating nutritious foods, regular exercise, and maintaining a health weight are vital components to one’s physical health. Carrying around excess weight can cause people to feel self-conscious and depressed, greatly reducing their quality of life. Excess weight may also increase one’s risk of cancer, congestive heart failure and diabetes. Our services are provided by registered dietitians and exercise specialists.

Exercise Assessments & Fitness Program
Developed by exercise specialists in consultation with individuals.

Health and Fitness Center Memberships
Located at The Summit Place building, the Health & Fitness Center includes cardio equipment, strength-training equipment and 30 weekly group exercise classes. Clinical monitoring is offered before, during and after exercise, as needed. This facility is geared towards the individual that may not frequent a gym but is ready to participate in physical activity. Health Screenings
CaroMont Health offers health screenings that include:

1. A health risk appraisal called Personal Wellness Profile,

2. Basic Biometrics (height, weight, blood pressure, waist circumferences, BMI/body fat %, and waist circumference)

3. Cholesterol mechanics to get triglycerides and blood glucose panels. Screenings provide beneficial information about one’s general health and results may be shared with your primary care physician.

If you would like to discuss your result onsite at each screen evaluation confidentially, health and wellness coaches are available. It is important to remember that while screenings provide a good health overview, individuals still need to monitor their own body and schedule regular exams with their primary care physicians. Basic Health Screening includes:

  • Weight & height measurements (BMI/body fat % and waist circumference)
  • Total cholesterol reading (Triglycerides, LDL and HDL)
  • Blood pressure readings
  • Blood glucose readings

Additional Screenings may include:

  • Bone density
  • Prostate
  • Diabetes
  • Breast cancer
  • Skin cancer
  • Basic vision or hearing problems
  • Immunizations
  • Metabolic RMR testing

Smoking Cessation
Tobacco use is a major contributor to cancer, heart disease, bronchitis, emphysema and stroke.  That’s why CaroMont Health offers the Quit Smart program!

Quit Smart is a three-session quit smoking class that utilizes the self-help stop smoking kit plus personalized coaching. This program is research-based, and helps users quit and stay tobacco free for life!  Call the Tobacco Cessation Line at 704.671.7936 for more information or to register.
